This is a short blog on the variety of uses for infrared photography. While we have all seen the dramatic landscapes in infrared and I myself consider this a major part of of my fine art business sales, there are other uses for infrared photography and the images below display a wide range of infrared imagery, exploring different uses for the genre. I have included in my everyday photographic commissions, around Edinburgh and Scotland from this year, the commissions vary. You do need the weather for infrared photography mind you, but if you do get it, infrared photography can enhance your wedding images, particularly with white dresses, trees and dramatic clouds, it also works well with classic cars at weddings. In addition, I have used infrared photography for sport, particularly motor, kids photos, architecture, urban photography, portraits and even my corporate and conference photography photoshoots around Scotland
. As a professional photographer operating throughout Scotland, i am always on the lookout to include my infrared images into the commission, just to offer that little bit more to the customer. Let me know what you think.

An example photo from the NatCap conference in 2017, held at the EICC in Edinburgh. This was a renewable energy 2 day event, designed to bring businesses and key players together, with a view to making long term decisions which benefit the environment. This event provided me with a wide range of conference photography opportunities, including workshops some very theatrical speakers.
