Hi Everyone
Like lot of photographers, I have concentrated mostly on fine art projects from a local point of view due to the effect the pandemic has had on my corporate and event commissions in Edinburgh and throughout Scotland. One of my big success stories last year was infrared images of the Kelpies installation in Scotland. I have used the additional time to try different techniques in infrared Whilst this was on of the first subjects I photographed in infrared a few years ago, I only explored it in black and white, whereas this time I have tried a variety of techniques including false colour and HDR. As this is a well photographed subject, I have tried to do something entirely different, giving the Kelpies a somewhat mystical and scary look, making the people almost minuscule in comparison to the installation which I have tried to give a menacing look. The location is brilliant for infrared, due to the metallic surfaces, water and the foliage in the landscape in general. It is totally unique and I hope to keep photographing it for a long time to come. So anyway, enjoy these photos.
Until next time.
