Today’s blog is about the application of infrared photography to corporate photo commissions in Scotland. For some time now I have been selling fine art infrared prints to organisations and individuals, mostly the latter. However, I have been introducing infrared photography into my corporate commissions, when can this be done, particularly for architecture, weddings and landscape shoots for instance. Many black and white infrared photos are very similar to normal black and white photos, just better and with more contrast. I have also taken infrared photos at sports events as a little extra. However, last year I was given my first infrared photography commission, to photograph their building and garden area and after several attempts to get the right weather, I produced the photo below, which was a success, the image was used in displays, for cards etc and it goes to show that if you think out the box a bit you can expand your market, now I hope to do some infrared work in my conference photography commissions and other corporate photoshoots in Edinburgh and around Scotland.
Until next time.
