Hi Everyone
People often ask me what the most vital thing is for infrared photography when I am out and about taking fine art infrared photos around Scotland and whilst you need a certain amount of sunshine, foliage can also help and your composition should be interesting, also exposure etc, I would seldom take an infrared photo without interesting clouds. Take the photo below, for instance, whilst the subject matter and location are interesting, it is the clouds that make the photo. Come to think of it I wouldn’t take many conventional landscape photography images without interesting clouds either. Any outdoor corporate or event photos in Edinburgh or around Scotland would also work better with cool clouds.
