Deer Park Masters Golf Tournament

A good time was had photographing the Deer Park Masters golf tournament in Livingston this week.  Some challenging weather but that also gives us professional corporate, sports and event photographers some fantastic creative opportunities, as shown in the rain image below.  I think that even though you are photographing sport you shouldn’t be scared to mix genres and I have also included some infrared images when submitting final photos to the client.  Th shots below just demonstrate how changeable Scottish weather can be, one minute bright sunshine, hence the infrared photo, then thunder and lightning and torrential rain.  Still, I can honestly say I loved photographing golf in Scotland and hope to be doing it again soon.

In addition to professional event photography in Edinburgh, Colin also participates in a number of infrared photography forums throughout the world and he is in the process of developing a long term project entitled "Infrared Photography in Scotland."
