Hi All
I have just purchased a Canon EOS R camera for my corporate and conference photography commissions in Edinburgh and around Scotland and I road tested it at the weekend. Now what makes this interesting is, that the camera was never going to be suitable for sports photography but I sometimes like to test myself and restrict my usage to limited equipment or lenses and camera that are not designed for the commission involved. This forces you to think and work harder with what you have and tests your improvisation skills. It is like going out with only one fixed prime lens. As professional photographers, we are all guilty of buying expensive gear and relying on the very best equipment, but I don’t thinks it allows us to develop as photographers. When I was starting out I learned a lot with my limited equipment and buying the latest is not always the answer, get to know your own gear first.
Anyway, here is a shot I took at the Dunbar United game at the weekend.
