Hi Everyone
Highlights of the year for event and corporate photographer Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scotland.
I thought I would do a quick blog providing a summary of the year as a corporate, conference and event photographer in Scotland. 2023 has been a good year. The previous year which was still a kind of post pandemic careful year for conference and event photographers in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Scotland. However, things have started to improve and there was a boost in work with some backlogs, particularly for weeding photographers in Scotland. I did a few weddings and would like to thank Tracey Largue Tracey Largue Film & Photography – tracey largue photography for asking me to be a second shooter at three weddings in Glasgow, Perth and Pitlochry. They were all very enjoyable days, made event better by the wonderful wedding couples involed. A few photos from these events can be viewed on my website through this link. Conference Wedding and Event Photography Scotland – Colin Wright Photography (edinburghphotographer.com). Other wedding photographer in Scotland images can also be viewed at my sister website at www.colinwrightphotography.co.uk Colin Wright Photography, Edinburgh and Glasgow conference photographer | Wedding Photographer Edinburgh Glasgow and Scotland.
Other highlights for event and conference and event photographer Scotland
I have sold a number of landscape and infrared photos and I am planning another infrared exhibition next year sometime. As I have moved to Glasgow, I have taken a lot of fresh infrared and urban photography images of the city. It has also been useful as I have been introduced to some new areas, such in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, in addition to a new found proximity to Argyll and Highlands. This year has also seen some training delivered in the Glasgow area. Continuing with my local sports photography, mostly football and rugby was important for me, but I also did some skateboarding photography in Glasgow. I undertook some one to one training on infrared photography with a customer, who has now become a friend. I also judged one of their competitions and had a general Q and A session with the members in Bearsden, which was really enjoyable. I am also in the process of signing up for some interior photography in Scotland. Also, I have invested in new gear with a couple of lenses to go with the Canon R6 camera I purchased at the end of 2022. The main one was tbe Canon RF 24-105mm f4 L lens, which will be ideal for future wedding and conference photography in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Scotland in 2024.
New Website re-launch
Finally, I re-launched this website at www.edinburghphotographer.com, specialising as an event and conference photographer in Edinburgh, Glasgow and throughout Scotland. So take a look, lots of exciting new content to come and some news of my infrared exhibition in 2024. So overall, a good year and things starting to get back into the grove, with some conference and event photography in Scotland and throughout the UK, to look forward to in the new year.
So, until next time.
Kind Regards
Colin
